Ah, Winter! There are many super great finds out there to help you combat this chilly season, and we thought that we’d remind you about a few of our favourite things:
mimiTENS are beautifully embroidered mittens with no strings attached. These mittens are unique in that they have long, sock-life cuffs made out of stretchy cotton and Lycra that goes past your child’s elbow so they stay on without fail! Love, love, love these Canadian-made mitts … purchase yours through the mimiTENS store starting at $29 CAD.
Want to keep you newborn infant warm in his or her car seat this winter? Check out these gorgeous Winter Pockets by Canadian companyOcena. As beautifully embroidered as the mimiTENS, their fleecy soft interior will keep your little one snug and cozy when you’re out and about. Intended for babies aged zero to nine months, Ocean Winter Pockets can be purchased through the company’s website for $96 CAD.
US company Patagonia produces well-made outdoor and winter clothing for babies, kids, and the entire family. One of our all-time favourites is their Kids Puffer Vest, but now that a West Coast winter is in full force, we are loving Patagonia’s Baby Down Sweaterand Reversible Puff-Ball Jacket. Cozy warm and cool! Purchase at your local Patagonia retailer or through the company’s website (prices vary).
Canadian company Stonz makes the funkiest flexible and cozy winter boots for little feet. These water, wind, and skid-proof booties are super light weight, stay on kid’s feet, and can be machine washed. We especially love that you put multiple layers of socks and/or slippers on your child’s feet before putting the Stonz on – that’s how roomy they are! Stonz can be purchased through the company’s website or these retailers from $46.95 CAD and fit children aged zero to three years.
